Meet Your Cornerman: Michelle Douglas

Michelle Douglas is relatively new to the ring with WebPunch. She joined the Review Response Team this past spring and brings to the team an innate sense of craftiness with words and a heart of gold. WebPunch is truly blessed to have her as part of our team.

When she is not helping to craft responses for reviews, she is busy chasing after her two rambunctious sons, finding the newest and coolest Christmas decorations to wow her neighbors with, cooking up a lavish meal with her Fireman husband to share with friends, family, and neighbors, or sipping a cup of heavenly, super-caffeinated coffee.

Michelle’s laid-back personality is a great mix for our team of spirited type-A personalities. We admire her quiet nature, ability to see the fun in any situation, excellent word sleuthing, and fun personality. Read on to get to know her better….

What are the top three things that you are most grateful for in life right now?
God, my husband, and my two boys..

Who would be the person in your life that you are most grateful for knowing and why?
My husband. I’m thankful every day for how hard he works for our family. He is incredibly giving, kind-hearted and a little crazy. Every day he fills our home with laughter and excitement. He makes life fun!
P.S. As I’m typing, I hear him tell our boys “If you stay outside any longer your sleeping on the back porch naked.” They ran inside.

What product or service improves the quality of your life the most?
Amazon Prime and Coffee. I’d love to be a Pinterest Mom, but I have more Pinterest fails than I can count. I’m forever grateful for Amazon Prime and Caffeine.

Besides your family and WebPunch, what are things are you most passionate about in life?
I love to read, I want to be passionate about working out, but that is still a work in progress, and I love experiencing anything outdoors.

What is your favorite part of a traditional Thanksgiving meal?
Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Pecan Pie…PIE! I love sweets.

You have unlimited funds and a month. Where do you go and what do you do?
We are big Disney fans. I would take my family and hit every Disney theme park around the world. We’d stay in super fancy hotels and have a private guide in each park. I think Disney has 11 parks, but when you have unlimited funds, anything is possible in a month.

What has been the most memorable Thanksgiving of your life and why was it the most memorable?
Our first Thanksgiving as a married couple, my husband and I hosted Thanksgiving at our home. My husband is a fantastic cook, and he wanted to make the meal special. I came home from work, to find large extension cords coming from the garage and into the kitchen, the cords were connected to an extra cooktop stove in the kitchen. I knew he meant business! We cooked and prepared all night for our first holiday. Not only did we have family attend our Thanksgiving that year, but we also had friends, neighbors we barely knew and lots of laughter. Our family Thanksgiving turned into almost 50 people. We still laugh about the extra stove, me inviting random neighbors to our dinner and the crazy amount of food we had. Although, we love Thanksgiving the real holiday for us is Black Friday shopping.

Can you tell us about a time in your life when someone helped you or showed a great deal of kindness towards you?
When my boys were young, I was grocery shopping alone with them, and they were not happy and horrible. One was screaming, and the other was putting everything he saw in my cart. I almost had a small breakdown in the aisle. A very kind and caring older couple helped me put away the extra items in my cart and pushed my cart to check out while I calmed down the boys. They were so kind, and at that moment, they were exactly what I needed. Now when I see a parent struggling in a grocery store, I always offer my assistance and think of that sweet couple.

What is one thing you are thankful you won’t have to repeat or do again in your life?
School…I can’t tell my kids that, but I’m so glad those days are over.

Tell us about an experience that brought you a great deal of happiness or joy.
I love the beach, and I’m lucky enough to live in the Sunshine State. Every summer we take a beach vacation with family and friends. We go to the same resort, and every year our list of memories keeps growing. The beach, family, and friends are the perfect joy to me!

There you have it folks, Michelle Douglas! You can really feel her zest for life and love for her family. Makes you kind of wish you lived on her street so you could meander on over to the Douglas house for some yummy food and a lot of silliness and laughter. Our team is thankful for the talents she brings and also her humble heart.
