Do you remember junior high? There were the cool kid cliques, and in my case, plenty of Vanilla Ice to get the party started. Well another thing I remember is learning about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Back in 1943 Abraham Maslow came up with a theory that people have fundamental requirements that need to be met in order for them to be able to feel safe, feel loved and eventually give of oneself to a greater cause – like volunteering for a dunk tank at a local fundraiser. If people can’t feed themselves, the dunk tank option isn’t going to be on their list of to-dos.
